Respite Care

 We offer respite care as a family support service. At-home hospice care can be trying for families.  Patients receiving in-home hospice services may qualify for a short-term stay in a skilled nursing setting as a Medicare benefit.  Medicare benefits may pay for patient transportation and up to five consecutive days of in-patient care to relieve the in-home hospice caregivers and/or family. This respite care benefit is available on an occasional basis.

We also offer respite services, outside of hospice, as a private pay option for families needing to provide a caregiver with time away for reasons such as travel or illness.  The length of stay can be determined by the need of the patient and caregiver.
